Why use a Researcher?

There may be a time factor involved, an imminent family reunion, a milestone anniversary approaching, or you have lost touch with and missing old friends, your relatives have moved on, the marriage of school friends, or to track down past neighbours.

Missing Link Fees

Straight forward cases of old friends losing touch, relatives that have moved on, and tracking down old neighbours are undertaken for a fee of £5, payable in advance.
Post your message with as much information as you have, on the Where are They Now message board. You will be contacted by the in-house researcher to ascertain the extent of your search and whether you will be requiring its services. Maiden Name Search

If you are looking for a female friend or relative and you know that she has married, but you only know her maiden name, a more detailed search can be made. This type of search is very time consuming and will be undertaken at a fee of £10. Because of the nature and time involved in this type of search, you will be asked to pay £5 in advance of search, as a non-returnable fee in the event of no success, but you will be sent an updated report on progress during the process of searching. When the marriage details have been confirmed, you will then be asked to pay the balance of the fee. You will be sent the marriage reference details which you will need to apply for the marriage certificate, you can order marriage certificates online from http://www.statistics.gov.uk/registration/

Property Owner Search

Why is this information useful to me?

• You may want to look at the register of the property you own.
• You want to find out who owns a specific property.
• You are interested in buying or renting an unoccupied property you have noticed and wish to approach the owner.
• You lease or rent a property and need to contact the Landlord.

For a fee of £5, you will be sent a report of the details held on register at the Land Registry, showing the name(s) of the owner(s) of the property that you have requested.
